It may be a bit small for 4 people on a regular basis. A short day sail with four people is fine but more than that and it would get uncomfortable unless the individuals liked to be close to each other. To put the boat in the water for one or two seasons one should apply a coat of bottom paint and would need to get the engine running. When my dad purchased the boat back in 1993 it had been sitting for 10 years and the engine fired up with new gas and an impeller. If you were thinking of keeping the boat for more than one or two seasons this is what I would want to do with it. New interior cushions Rebuild of interior floor- The existing floor looks fine but some of the wood members underneath are rotten. This is a solid glass boat but there are some small wood stringers that support the floor. An individual with wood working experience could rebuild the floor within 100-150 hours of work. Temporary support would get one through a couple of seasons. Repaint the haul. Add some electronics The boat is located in the Thumb of Michigan 125 miles north of Detroit on a custom made tandem axle trailer. |
