They were considered the top of the line in the 60's and were built to commercial standards. They are extremely sturdy, seaworthy vessels (72 gross tons). This vessel has been through the Panama Canal three times. Only a few were built with 460HP, 343 Turbo Caterpillar Diesels due to the extreme cost of these long life bullet proof engines. This quality yacht cruises comfortably at 10 to 13 knots and will easily run at 18 knots.

Accommodations
This vessel is laid out with chain locker clear forward and crews head in fore peak. There is an enclosed crew cabin to port and an additional berth to starboard. Up two steps to the galley, there is a washer, dryer, reftigerator and freezer to starboard and a U shaped galley to port. Up two steps to the dining salon, there is an eight-seat table to port. Up two steps to starboard, the wheelhouse has an access door port and starboard, with captain stools, chart table and custom retractgable L shape office desk.
The on deck salon is entered either side from the wheelhouse. The aft end of the main salon has access to the aft deck which has a custom wet bar with built in ice maker & frig. and seating across the stern. There are sliding doors port and starboard to exit forward to our side walk around deck plus a gat and ladder to swim-step starboard stern.

Access to owners accommadations are by a curving stairway to port and the aft end of the salon. There are two guest staterooms forward, one twin berth stateroom port and one queen berth stateroom starboard with an enclosed head and shower to starboard across from stairway entrance. The owners cabin has a queen sized berth to port with built in drawers, large hanging locker and an enclosed head with seperate shower to port forward.

Access to the salon roof for dinghy launch is gained by a ladder to port. Access to the engine and machinery room is gained either from the wheelhouse through a hatch or under the steps from the galley to the dining room. The foredeck is equipped with built in seating and an adequate sunbathing area.

Commnents
In 1996, 1997, and 1998 this vessel went through a major refit including rebuilding and refastening over 1/2 the hull. Fuel and water tanks were changed. Staterooms and heads were enlarged and rebuilt. Extra water tanks have been installed. The fuel system was completely refurbished. By 1998 the interior and exterior had been completely refurbished. This vessel is captain and crew maintained. There are back-up systems for almost everything on this vessel and the 12V system has been rewired into a new panel. There have been major improvements and new equipment added to the engines, pilothouse, galley, staterooms, heads, and the aft deck. The entire vessel has been painted at the time of inspection, 2001. The Chris Craft corp has built her to commercial standards and is very sturdy. The U.S. Coast Guard inspects her annually. She has been issued a compliance permit every year under UPV/AOR requirements. She complies with the equipment and operation requirements of code 46 of the U.S. Coast Guard Code of Federal Regulations.
Construction

This vessel is of Carvel double planked Honduran mahogany construction over double 2 3/4' x 4 mahogany frames. Hull sides are batten seamed 7/8 mahogany over 1 3/8 x 4 mahogany frames. The fastenings are silicon bronze. Decks are teak planked and plugged over marine plywood. Fore and side decks are fiberglass over teak plank/marine plywood. Rubberized non-skid surface has been applied over fiberglass and is re-coated annually. The cabin roof and house is fiberglass over marine plywood and painted. Main salon, aft deck, and pilothouse roof is rubberized non-skid and re-coated annually. Foredeck fitted with a stainless steel bow rail. Remainder stainless steel stanchions supporting varnished mahogany handrails with skirting. Toe rail is solid mahogany. Interior woodwork is stained-varnished mahogany. The engine mounts are approximately 3 x 18 mahogany and are adequate for the engines.
