EXTERIOR:
Forward is a stainless stemhead fitting with built-in bow anchor roller. Rodes lead aft into a double-hinged anchor locker that has a molded-in recess for stowing a Danforth-type anchor. A Simpson-Lawrence electric anchor windlass is fitted within the anchor locker. Simple Interest has stainless stanchions and double lifelines. The forward cabintop has an opening hatch large enough to drop sail bags below. The head compartment is ventilated with a solar ventilator. Teak grabrails are located on port and starboard side of the coachroof. Midship cleats are mounted on the genoa tracks. Primary sail controls lead aft to the cockpit. Nav instruments are bulkhead mounted in the cockpit. The nav compass is mounted on the Edson pedestal and wheel steering system. A large cockpit locker is found on the port side and the helm seat forms another large cockpit locker. The mainsail traveler is cabintop-mounted. A stainless folding swim ladder is hung from the transom. The engine instrument panel is within easy reach and sight of the helmsman. Double pelican hook boarding gates are found port and starboard. The hull is white with gray striping. All sail controls are lead aft to the cockpit and include double cabintop self-tailing winches and rope clutches.

INTERIOR:
Berths for seven are provided in V-Berth (2), Port Settee (1), Starboard Settee (2), and aft cabin berth (2). Down the companionway, the starboardside galley is open, light, well ventilated, and provides plenty of storage. The head is located conveniently to port, aft of the nav station. Opposite the galley is the nav station. The aft end of the port settee serves as the seat for the nav station. The opening chart table and electrical panel are located at the nav station. The station cabinetry also provides another hanging locker with countertop space above. The aft cabin is accessible to starboard just aft of the galley.

ELECTRICAL
Simple Interest has both 110V AC and 12VDC services. The 110Volt AC shore power provides dockside service for hot water, battery charger, and multiple outlets in the galley, head, and each cabin. Breakers are provided for each. The 12 Volt DC system has 3 Group 31 lead-acid batteries in one house bank plus a single Group 24 in a starting battery bank connected by a selector switch for isolating batteries or combining them. Both the 110V and 12V service panels are equipped with breaker switches at the nav station. A Link 10 battery monitor system is installed along with an analog battery voltmeter. The engine has been refitted with a Balmar high-output alternator and a 3-stage regulator. A 20-amp Statpower battery charge is installed.

ELECTRONICS:
Simple Interest is equipped with Standard Horizon SL-50 digital wind, depth and knot meters, bulkhead mounted in the cockpit. Additionally, a Standard Horizon SL-50 Omni multifunction repeater is mounted at the nav station. An Autohelm ST-6000 belowdeck autopilot is fitted with the control module located on the port cockpit coaming. An ICOM IC-M402 VHF Radio is mounted at the nav station. Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo cassette player and Sony speakers.

GALLEY
Fitted with an Adler-Barbour SuperCold refrigeration system, the food-cooling needs are taken care of in a top-loading insulated icebox. A GSI CNG stove has 2-burners and an oven and is gimbaled for duty under sail. Complementing the galley setup is a dual stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, and plenty of storage.

HEAD & PLUMBING:
A reliable Groco HF marine head is provided along with shower with hot and cold water. Hot water is supplied electrically by a hot water heater when dockside and via a heat exchanger from the engine when underway. A 12Volt shower sump pump will discharge shower water, helping to keep the bilge clean and odor free. White fiberglass and Formica surfaces provide light and easy to clean surfaces. The bilge is fitted with a Rule 750 12 volt bilge pump and with a manual pump operated from the cockpit helm seat.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Simple Interest's miscellaneous list includes all the required Coast Guard safety equipment, a Bruce 22 lb. anchor is fitted to a reversing electric Simpson-Lawrence Sprint 600 electric windlass, second anchor system is a 22 lb. Danforth-type stowed in the anchor locker, stainless steel swim ladder integral with the stern rail, opening ports w/screens for ventilation, opening hatches, 2-speed Lewmar winches (46ST & 30ST), whisker pole track on mast with adjustable pole car, Ritchie 5 compass, companionway dodger with removeable glass panels and a folding cockpit bimini, Universal 4-cylinder freshwater-cooled diesel engine, Harken roller furling for the new Quantum roller furling 135% genoa, full-battened mainsail with jiffy reefing, UK MPS flasher, Whale Gusher manual bilge pump in cockpit, high output Balmar alternator (100 amp) and 3-stage regulator, outboard motor bracket, Quorum Marine air conditioning with heating coils, Marelon and bronze thru-hulls, 2 CNG tanks, 3-blade fixed propeller, cockpit shower, dockside shorewater connection, teak cockpit table and cup holder, recent survey, rope clutches to control all sails from the safety of the cockpit.
