Description:

When Bill Shaw conceived the Pearson 35, his intent was to build something special. A yacht that would combine superb handling, great accommodations, and an underwater configuration that offered safe and comfortable cruising in both shoal and deep waters. Since the first Pearson 35 was launched in 1968, she has lived up to these expectations. Immediately pleasing to the eye, the P35 offers lots of teak trim on deck and a teak package below to add additional warmth to her roomy interior. Cruise aboard the 35 where you please. With board up she draws only 3' 9 of water. But getting there is only half the fun. Her roomy 9' 5 cockpit with well-placed pedestal steering offers great visibility and a wealth of storage space in lockers port and starboard and lazarette aft. Coaming caps and toerails are teak and her wide walkways and foredeck have non-skid surfaces for sure footing in any sea condition. She's earned the respect of all those who have a special fondness for a responsive, balanced cruising yacht with attractive lines and pleasurable appointments. But there's more belowdecks!

Down the companionway, the galley is open, light, well ventilated, and provides plenty of storage. The galley is immediately at the bottom of the ladderway and is U-shaped. To port is a gimbaled stove with oven with shelves and food lockers located above, and a midships sink with drawer stowage under. On the starboard side of the galley is a top-loading icebox with additional food and utensil stowage outboard. The enclosed head and shower are located conveniently to port, forward of the dinette bulkhead. Berths for five are provided in the V-Berth (2), Port Settee (2), and Starboard Settee (1). The main cabin warmly greets you with teak bulkheads and teak-trimmed lockers. The 35 offers a berth to starboard, settee/berth with upholstered backrest to port, and a foldaway drop leaf table which seats six or folds neatly against the forward bulkhead when not in use. And overhead there's a ventilation hatch for plenty of light and air. Stowage is provided in lockers and drawers under the berths and in bookshelves and lockers outboard to port. Teak features include bulkheads, doors and trim for that personal touch. To port in the passageway forward is the toilet room with stowage outboard and under the vanity. And opposite is a hanging locker, bureau, and shelf stowage. The forward cabin has a bureau for guests, shelf stowage and lockers under the full-size berths. Overall, the Pearson 35 provides sleeping accommodations for five in comfort and privacy.

Any Pearson 35 embodies the coastal cruising desgn Bill Shaw intended. Christina may well be the best maintained and equipped example of this fine design on the market today!
