Interior Specs
Entering the salon from the cockpit via the swing-style aluminum framed door, you are immediately impresses with the air of elegance surrounding you. With her optional and impeccably finished high gloss cherry woodwork throughout the interior, the craftsmanship and interior volume Riviera has created must be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Appointed with designer window treatments, designer fabrics throughout the salon and staterooms, and beautifully installed plush pile carpeting (with a Sunbrella? snap-on salon carpet protector), this yacht's interior will appeal to the most refined tastes. Overhead cherry hand-holds offer a secure grip while moving about underway, and the overhead rod racks keep the gear out of your way. The interior unique layout consists of an open and airy salon with an Australian leather (no ?pleather' here!) L-shaped sofa/settee aft to port with a matching leather ottoman and storage within while opposite to port is the built-in icemaker and bar area with special storage for the high quality Riviera logo'd acrylic glassware set as well as specific holders for an ice bucket and all your booze bottles There is an L-shaped leather dinette forward to starboard with a burled tabletop trimmed in high gloss cherry. There is excellent storage below the sofa as well as under the dinette settee (which is also where you'll find the conveniently placed central vacuum cleaner hook-up). For entertainment there is a Clarion AM/FM/Cassette player and Clarion 6 disc CD changer. Two steps down to port is the bright and airy mid-level galley featuring custom molded counters with an integrated drain board, a large molded sink, handsome Teak & Holly flooring, a 6 cu. ft. side-by-side Norcold refrigerator/freezer, a two burner electric stove, a Sharp carousel microwave (cleverly flush-mounted opposite the galley, freeing up space for even more cabinet storage). The cabinetry is thoughtfully laid out and designed with special containment accessories designed to hold the Corel dishes, coffee cups, saucers, and bowls. Below counter storage and drawers are all secured with positive locking deadbolt latch systems which hold tight regardless of sea conditions, yet open easily when disengaged, an excellent trait in a boat as seaworthy as this is. The galley lazarette storage is huge! It is great to hold all of your dry storage needs for food stores, cases of water or other drinks, not to mention tools, portable appliances, basically anything that you want to stay out of the way and dry, yet easily accessible. Added ventilation is provided by a slider-opening rear salon window as well as three well placed round-style Nibo deck hatches with removable screens. Three steps down to port is the very airy and open feeling head compartment to port. This compartment is formed with a unitized mold process, featuring: a large and separate stall shower, a freshwater VacuFlush toilet (odor free as no seawater is used) with a macerator, a holding tank, as well as a deck discharge, a mirrored vanity (also mirrored inside for when it's open!), and below sink storage also. Opposite the head to starboard is the ingenious triple berth second stateroom, that's right, three single berths in one stateroom! There are full-size over and under bunk beds, as well as a full-size fold down Pullman berth which drops off of the port bulkhead. Generous use of the high gloss cherry carries throughout this stateroom, with a built-in hanging locker that was designed cleverly by sharing its space with the master stateroom locker (no separator/bulkhead), thus allowing an owner to use a little more than their share of locker space when guests aren't aboard. Of importance to many owners, but rarely found on a 40'er, there is a compact clothes washer & drier combo unit that is flush-mounted in the stateroom as well! Going forward to the master stateroom you'll find abundant storage in both the port and starboard hanging lockers, more in the wide drawers at the foot of the bed, as well as even more still beneath the custom coil spring mattress (not just foam like most other vessels) which is easily accessed by lifting the piston-assisted base. Other conveniences include a private door to the head, TV & phone hook-ups, as well as 110V GFI outlets.

Exterior Specs
With gorgeous flowing lines, don't let this boat fool you. She's all business in heavy seas, despite her sleek and graceful profile. With her heavy 17 of transom deadrise, her completely fiberglassed hull to deck joint, her _ keel, and her wide stable beam, the 40' Riviera convertible's ride is smooth and quiet even at better than average cruising speeds in less than ideal conditions. It is truly one of the best all around handling sea boats that I have ever run in the 40-45' class, bar none. The owner of this boat shopped hard and sea trialed the 41' Cabo, the 43' Viking, and the 43' Post. After sea trialing him last, on the 40 Riviera, during a very nasty day with heavy Small Craft Advisories in Palm Beach echoing from the VHF and 25-30 knot winds echoing in our ears, he said his shopping was done! The Rivera was in his dock a few days later, in place of his 35' Cabo and he couldn't be happier with his decision still to this day. Beginning forward is the Ideal double capstan anchor windlass which is fitted with 200' of all-chain anchor rode in its double doored locker which also incorporates a washdown spigot for rinsing the chain of mud or sand. This boat features an all-welded S.S. bow rail which provides greater safety while on the foredeck, or while traversing the extra-wide wide side decks to get there. The gentle yet aggressive non-skid on all deck surfaces provides exceptional footing when dry or when wet. Also on the foredeck is a ?03 10' Nautica hard-bottom dinghy with a ?03 15HP Honda 4-stroke, hoisted on deck via a low profile davit, also just installed in '03. The cockpit is fit for cruising with friends and family, or equally at home in the hands of hardcore fisherman looking to just have fun or those looking to make it on the tournament circuit. Featuring a wide swing-in transom door, a lighted built-into-the-transom flow-through live baitwell with a second and separate pump for aerating as well as a clear Lexan viewing window, a large macerator discharged in-floor insulated fishbox to port with an equal storage/access hatch to starboard which is lighted and great for stowing scuba gear or other less accessed items. A generous hatch provides easy access to the aft lazarette for servicing steering, pumps, fuel fittings, and the rudders. Other fishing features include flush-mounted rod holders in the gunwales, double-rigged double spreader Rupp outriggers, a Release Marine fighting chair, rocket launchers on the aft bridge rail, extra gold anodized rocket launchers in the cockpit, both freshwater and saltwater washdowns, dockside pressure water regulator, and a hot/cold transom shower. Forward in the cockpit you'll find to port a bait freezer with a manual thermostat, allowing use as a refrigerator for drinks as well as a deep freeze for baits or chum. Center is the clever sink/cockpit engine access arrangement. The sink unit is hinged and swings out to provide fantastic engine room access, and once in the engine room, the space continues to impress even full sized men with it roominess and well laid out design, keeping good serviceability access in mind. Above these units on the bulkhead is a wide flip-down storage compartment prefect for small terminal tackle or other smaller items like pliers and de-hookers that always seem to disappear if not centrally located. To starboard of the cabin door is a built-in trash bin for added convenience. The Flybridge ladder curves forward, making for larger steps and a more secure ladder, all the while reducing the overall space need for mounting it. The roomy bridge feels like it belongs on a much larger boat with its dual Todd helm seats, the huge L-shaped settee forward and to starboard, the chaise lounge/settee to port, and the very handy wetbar with a refrigerator built-in. Storage is incredible, being found beneath all bridge seats, as well in the impeccably finished interior of the bridge brow. The helm gracefully wraps around the captain, with all gauges and controls located intelligently with ergonomics and function in mind. The electronics are all flush mounted, and the slim overhead mounting panel in the hardtop for the radios never impedes your view as some others do. A 3 sided isinglass enclosure protects the bridge while underway, and a factory helm station cover protects your valuable electronics while at her mooring. Mounted on the factory _ tower w/ hardtop is an open array radar antenna, the anchor light, and the remote controlled electric spotlight.
