“Dragon Lady” Bristol 35 Highlighted in John Kretschmer’s book “Used Boats Notebook” published 2002. “A robustly built classic that keeps improving with age”. The Alden- designed 35 sloop has a low freeboard, long overhangs and a sweet shear line. On the recently painted deck The cockpit is large with seats over six feet long accommodating at least six people. Quick and smooth response with a full rudder design great visability feels solid and weighty in the water. Down below the large newly painted hand crafted teak appointed open salon has a “U” shaped bench and a convertible table to port which lowers into a double bed and a long bench is to the starboard side. The floor is thick and strong, the original teak and holly. Lots of cabinets and draws. The galley has a gimbled two burner LP stove with oven, a deep stainless steel sink lots of storage and draws. The fridge is large and deep, cold plate design, engine driven compressor. The engine is completely accessable, stairs are removable as well as the sink. Bright lighting and AC receptacles throughout. The head is large doubles as a shower with hot (from engine or water heater) and cold water with a stainless steel sink, hanging closet, new toilet and holding tank. The “V” berth is roomy and with side ports and a large overhead hatch for those breezy cool nights on anchor, full length shelves and a goose neck reading light.Under bed storage and draws.
